Lauren Dau of Brighton gets Gold Presidential Scholarship

Lauren Dau of Brighton is one of many students who have been granted scholarship assistance to attend Chadron State College this fall.

Dau, who will study human biology, has been awarded the full-tuition Gold Presidential Scholarship,an $875 Academic Achievement Award, and an $875 Leadership Waiver. The Gold Presidential Scholarship, which is awarded based on academic merit, pays full tuition for four years, an approximate value of $15,680. The Academic Achievement Award, which is presented by the Chadron State College Foundation, is a one-time cash award that recipients use for tuition, fees, room and board. Leadership Waivers help students pay for their housing.

Dow graduated from Brighton High School in May. She is the daughter of Candice Dow of Brighton.
