COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (August 30, 2011) – The Adams 14 Video Production Department recently received a 2011 Bronze Telly Award for its video, Kemp Elementary Welcomes Author of Big Nate Returns.
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and web commercials, videos and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators and corporate video departments in the world.
“In Adams 14, we are proud to use a variety of multimedia platforms to showcase our students, staff and District,” said Dr. Sue Chandler, Adams 14 Superintendent. “Having this video awarded, amongst more than 11,000 entries, truly highlights the high-caliber work of our video production specialist, Cameron Weise.”
Cameron creates dynamic, award-winning content for the District, and also operates the Commerce City Cable TV Channel 8 as a public service to the community. District videos and events run on this local cable channel, including the Adams 14 Board of Education meetings. Additionally, Cameron develops content for the District’s two Vimeo channels – one internal channel for professional development, and a public channel for the community.
“Being able to utilize my passion and skills in video production to help communicate the great happenings in Adams 14 makes me very proud,” said Cameron. “Being able to help support students’ achievement and well-being with my work doesn’t feel like work at all!”
