
All Brighton teens that were nominated for the local level will be formally recognized at a City Council meeting on April 5. All other youth that were nominated will be recognized by their respective cities. The 20 nominees who will go on to the county level, including the six youth from Brighton, and youth from the surrounding communities of Thornton, Northglenn, Hyland Hills, Commerce City, Westminster and unincorporated Adams County will be honored on April 15 at the Riverdale Country Club in Brighton.
This award encompasses youth in traditional classroom settings, youth who have not finished school, youth in group homes, youth in alternative schools, and emancipated youth.
